Ep.3/ THE WATER
Journal Prompt: Are You Still Drowning in What You Never Said?
Letโs sit still with this. Quiet the waves. Breathe in.
๐ Think of a time when you were โthe strong one.โ Everyone counted on you.
But inside, you were struggling. Maybe even sinking.
Ask yourself:
๐ง Who saw you in that moment? Who didnโt?
๐ง What did you needโbut didnโt know how to ask for?
๐ง What have you forgivenโbut not reconciled?
๐ง Where in your life are you still holding your breath instead of letting go?
๐ง Can you name the people who love you without requiring your strength?
Repeat after me:
I am fully seen. I am fully loved. I am not just strongโI am worthy of softness, too.
Self-Fullโข Podcast โ Episode 3 Recap
This episode is my love letter to every strong one who's ever silently drowned while everyone clapped for their strength. It's about loveโbut not the fluffy kind. The kind that saves you.
I opened this one while still soaked in saltwater and memory, because Valentineโs Day ainโt always roses and candlelight. For me, it was recalling the day I almost died in Jamaicaโpulled under by a rip current at Treasure Beach. What shouldโve been a Galentineโs turned near-tragedy. I fought for my life, and God met me in the deep.
And yet, the scariest part? Wasnโt the drowning. It was coming back upโฆ and feeling invisible.
Everyone celebrated Strength surviving. But who saw me?
That day taught me: even the strong ones need saving.
That love is more than wordsโitโs sacrifice in action.
And that healing sometimes begins when someone finally says, โI see you.โ
This episode poured out of me in wavesโwaves of forgiveness, of grief, of reconciliation. I talked about what it means to be liberated by loveโฆ not just held by it.
โLove is the water of life,โ Rumi says.
And baby, in that ocean, I didnโt just floatโI found God
